2.1 Description of the applicable requirements

With the services we offer, we fall within the scope of the BFSG, which sets out accessibility requirements for products and services. Our services must therefore be accessible in accordance with Section 3 (1) sentence 1 BFSG. The specific accessibility requirements for services are defined in the Ordinance on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services pursuant to the Accessibility Strengthening Act.

General accessibility requirements for services can be found in particular in Section 12 BFSGV. According to this provision, in particular websites and certain information about how services function and about products used must meet certain requirements to be discoverable, perceivable, operable, robust and understandable.

More specific accessibility requirements for services are set out in Sections 13 et seq. BFSGV. For our services in electronic commerce, information on the accessibility of the products offered for sale and the services provided must be made available, and identification, authentication, security and payment functions within a service, as well as identification and authentication methods provided, electronic signatures and payment services, must be designed to be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust (Section 19 BFSGV).

The requirements for the accessibility statement arise from Section 14 (1) No. 2 BFSG in conjunction with the provisions of the BFSGV.
